Security engineer building at the intersection of cybersecurity and AI. London-based, Italian-born, fluent in three languages and several programming ones.

I’m Fritz. I have a cybersecurity degree, a decade of high-pressure leadership experience in hospitality, and an obsession with building systems that actually work.

Right now I’m making the move from managing bars to managing incidents. The skills transfer more than you’d think — crisis handling at 2 AM, coordinating teams under pressure, making decisions with incomplete information. Same game, different stakes.

What I’m Building
#

  • Detection engineering — writing Sigma rules, building SIEM queries, hunting threats in my home lab
  • AI security infrastructure — a personal AI system (PAI) that automates security workflows using Cloudflare Workers, LLMs, and custom pipelines
  • Security writeups — CVE analysis, CTF walkthroughs, tool reviews, and lab exercises published here on this site

Technical Focus
#

Core areas: Incident Response, DFIR, SIEM & Detection Engineering, Cloud Security, AI Security

I think in systems. I build things to understand them. I write about what I learn because explaining something is the best way to prove you actually know it.

Background
#

Born in Italy, lived in Sydney and Paris, settled in London. I speak English, Italian, and French. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Cyber Security and Computer Forensics from the University of Greenwich. I’m currently preparing for the CompTIA Security+ certification.

When I’m not at a terminal, I’m probably with my partner Francesca, our daughter Luna, our dog Fergus, or our cat Athena.

Philosophy
#

I’m influenced by Stoic philosophy — Marcus Aurelius, Seneca, Epictetus. The core idea: focus on what you can control, do the work, and let the results follow. That’s how I approach security, career transitions, and everything else.
